Caring

Make what is important to others important to me

At Chick-fil-A Deer Valley, we exhibit caring in all we do.  We define caring as making what is important to someone else important to me.  It's not about what we do, but how we do it. A caring person pays attention to the details and is invested in the outcome. They never simply go through the motions, but they put thought into every action that they take.

We embody this value by caring for everyone we come in contact with. We care for our equipment, we care for people, we care for results, and we care for ourselves.

We show care by:

  • Listening to guests and team members

  • Responding to others with courtesy and empathy

  • Slowing down to ensure orders are taken correctly, food is made correctly, and bags are packed correctly

  • Serving the highest quality food as safely as possible - we serve meals which we would be proud to serve to our loved ones.

United

We are better together than we are alone

We believe that we can and do accomplish more as a united body than individually.  We believe in the mantra "To go fast go alone, to go far go together" and we are willing to do what it takes to go farther together.

We show unity by:

  • Looking for ways to serve our teammates

  • Putting the team results ahead of our individual priorities (We win together)

  • Delivering the mail to the right address (eliminating gossip and complaining)

  • Wanting the best for each other, expecting the best from each other, and giving our best to each other

  • Taking advantage of unexpected opportunities to overcome challenges as a team

Relentless

We are gritty and determined to embrace the future

One of our leaders stated eloquently that relentless means never giving up on finding the solution to a problem. We believe in discovering solutions and opportunities to embrace the future needs of our business. To discover these solutions, we must be gritty and determined as a team to not fear failure, but rather embrace the opportunity to figure out new solutions.

We show relentlessness by:

  • Staying until the job gets done (not when the shift ends)

  • Persisting until we find the solution that wins the guest to Chick-fil-A

  • Embracing the future and the change that comes along with it

  • Pursuing a goal and not stopping until we achieve it.
